Missed Opportunities

I’ve been a baseball fan for as long as I can remember, and a White Sox fan even longer than that! Any chance I could get growing up, I would jump at the opportunity to go to a game. I’ve been to so many games at this point its painful to think about how much I spent on beer and hotdogs! Of all the games I’ve been to, there’s always been one specific game that stands out for me because it was a huge missed opportunity.

It was July 23, 2009, and if you’re a diehard Sox fan you might know where this is going! I was a season ticket holder this season, but on this particular day for one reason or another I missed the game. This would end up being the day that Mark Buehrle would pitch the 18th perfect game in MLB history. All season ticket holders received an autographed Buehrle poster to commemorate the season and it serves as a reminder of my missed opportunity.
