Learn To Spot
Phishing Scams

Phishing scams, such as email spoofing, put your sensitive data at risk by masking themselves as official emails from trusted websites and sources, tricking users into submitting their information or downloading malware.

Using your mouse cursor, identify the indications of a phishing attempt in the email below!

Incorrect Address

One of the easiest ways to spot a fake email is to check the sender’s address. If the “from” line of the e-mail contains an address other than “@amazon.com” or the relevant address, it is a fake email.

Order Information

Not what you ordered? Phishing scams like this will use fake orders to trick you into clicking on links such as the Order # on this email, which will lead to malicious web sites and/or malware.

If you receive an email for something you didn’t order or don’t remember ordering, delete the email immediately.

Bad Spelling and Grammer

Certain types of phishing can look very official. Some not so much. Another key factor to pay attention to is the spelling and grammer of the phishing emails.
