“Your call is very important to us, please stay on the line”, a phrase most of us have heard time and time again as we waited on hold with vendors. I’d be willing to bet when you think of dealing with vendors, you get a cold sweat and a chill down your spine!
Recently, one of our engineers and myself were wrapped up with an Internet Service Provider’s support after the internet went down at one of our partner’s locations. From Saturday morning and lasting all the way until Monday, we went back and forth with the ISP to get this addressed. Three days and six service tickets later, the problem was finally resolved.
The issue?A data cable was severed by a careless excavator.
We spent one of the nicest weekends of the year so far going back and forth with this ISP so we could get internet restored for our partner. There are too many stories to count where working with a vendor has been a complete nightmare!
Luckily for Dura-Tech’s partners, vendor management is part of our solution! We would do anything for our partners, even if it means spending a nice weekend on the phone with Comcast, AT&T, or whichever vendor to get things resolved.
