Recently, my family and I decided to get away for a few days and headed off to spend a nice week on the lake. While we were relaxing, we got to witness a unique spectacle; a Bald Eagle diving down and grabbing a fish right out of the water! This was something I never expected to see even once but sure enough, we saw it again the very next day!
I thought this was especially exciting to see given how close to the 4th of July it happened. This made me reflect on how much our country has been through this year and that with perseverance we’ve all remained strong through it all. As Illinois and other states are moving towards the final stages of reopening, I hope this 4th of July can be symbolic of this resilience.
